
The Deputy Governor, State of Osun, South West Nigeria, His Excellency, Benedict Gboyega Alabi, Executive Chairman, Ifako-Ijaiye LG Area of Lagos State, Apostle Oloruntoba Adetunji Oke, and the Director- General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, (LASEMA), Dr. Femi Osanyintolu, were among old students of the Lagos African Church Grammar School (LAFROSA), Ifako, Lagos, honoured with distinguished merit awards, on Sunday, February 16, 2020.
The event, which was facilitated by the National body of the Association in conjunction with the 1982 set in honour of Gboyega Alabi, also a member, on his emergence as Deputy Gov., was held inside Adeoluwa Hall, Ifako, Lagos.
While presenting the awards, the National President of the Association, Engr. Yomi Taiwo, applauded the awardees for their selfless service to their Alma mata, noting that their invaluable contributions would for ever be appreciated.
He further implored them to do more and other alumni to emulate their kind gestures.
Oke, who had earlier donated a well-equipped ICT centre to the school, was honoured alongside his colleagues, with distinguished merit award for his outstanding contribution to the growth of the college.
The council chief thanked the leadership of the Association for the honour done on him and other awardees, pledging his unalloyed support and commitment to the growth and development of his Alma mata.
