Prince Idris Balogun popularly known as Oluomo, who is the son of Hrm. Oba Wahab Balogun has declared his intention to run for the house of representative, representing Alimosho, although, he is a top member of APC but declared independently on Sunday 18th October 2020 in his Hotel White Royal hotel along igando Isheri road.
The declaration was attended by the youths from all walks of lives in Alimosho LG, Lagos.
According to him, I believe that the constitution allows freedom of expression and the rights of all citizens to participate in bringing about the needed transformation in all sectors of the economy.
“I am an indigene of Lagos state and an Awori by birth. I, therefore, have a duty to take positive steps including admonitions and practical re-orientation of our people towards the ideal society we crave for. He added:
“My desire is to orientate my people, I am not desperate. I will be totally fulfilled when I am able to make efforts to enlighten our people about good governance, welfarism, the growth and development of the youth, the care of the elderly, the growth of the private sector, the ideals of constitutional democracy and better lifestyles for the leaders and the led”
He admonished the attitude of the leaders in Alimosho LG for their imposition on selective party members that are not indigent of Awori extraction or not active to represent the constituency in elective post.
Balogun said it is high time people that are closer to the people and are ready to serve are given the opportunity to serve, he noted that he had expressed his intention to serve in the past but was told to wait and serve the party, which he has done but nothing came from the party leaders.
Prince Oluomo is noted for his philanthropist gesture and has uplift the living standard of people in the community.
