It’s no longer news that, another unique online radio station, Lekki FM has been launched. The soft launching came up 14th April, 2021 at it’s duplex office in Lekki-Ajah, Lagos. Dignitaries from all walks of life were in attendance to witness the event.
Some of the celebrities in attendance were: Fuji star, Azeez Oyama, gospel music star, Dr. Rotimi Onimole aka Oba Ara, veteran broadcaster, Chief Timothy Agboola aka Erekenisoobu, Mr. Tunji Wusu, Stella Ayanfe Jesu, Mr. Numah Edu, publishers of Yoruba Quest Magazine, Laide Gold, spiritual fathers and mothers, to mention but a few.
In an interactive session with the publisher of Giraffeglobal magazine and online (www.giraffeglobal.com.ng) , Akin Sokoya, the MD of Lekki FM, Olabisi Sanni aka Labake Orobo, said the Lekki FM operates as an independent news media platform, with the aim of promoting the ideas and principles of a democracy society, guaranteeing fundamental human rights, promoting the ideas of an open and transparent government system, and enabling access to information by all. She made it known that the new radio station is registered as a Limited Liability Company with the CAC and also pursuing a terrestrial radio broadcasting license with NBC.
The MD, Labake Orobo noted that Lekki FM already has over 1m followers and about 6m reach on their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram on which they are operating from and enjoins their prospective clients to be part of their success story by bringing their adverts to have a wider reach to promote their businesses.
