The Apex leaders of Labour Party in Ogun state on Thursday gathered at Abeokuta, Ogun state to reconcile the old leaders and make truce between the aggrieved members.
The moderator of the reconciliation meeting, Engr. Olusegun Feyisola, popularly called SIR FEYI former senatorial candidate of Labour Party, now, state leader Ogun state, advised the aggrieved members to shield their swords as the party is moving on and cannot afford to take off in crisis against 2023 elections in the state. He further stated that the party will not condole any form of anti- party by members.
SIR FEYI added that they seized the opportunity of the meeting to do pre- valedictory service for the outgone chairman of state elevated to National Publicity Secretary as the reconciliation and positioning of the party against 2023 continues.
The National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Femi Abayomi Arabambi in his word noted that the party will contest all democratic positions in the forthcoming elections and therefore advised all hands to be on deck.
Also, the newly constituted caretaker state exco chairman, comrade, pastor Asade sued for cooperation among the members and promised to deliver for the party in the next three months and prepare ground for the Congress and sound footing for 2023 election victory.
However, Arabambi and Simeon also encouraged the newly assembled caretaker state exco to be loyal to the party and start new membership drive immediately they are sworn- in.
Meanwhile, the state executive tenure expired 22nd January, 2022 and the caretaker exco membership shall be inaugurated 4th February, 2022.
In attendance at the meeting were, Comrade Bode Simon, S/W chairman, Comrade Femi Abayomi( Arabambi), elevated to National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Onojeta, caretaker organizing state secretary, Comrade Asade Michael, former deputy governor candidate and appointed chairman of caretaker committee, Engr. Olusegun Feyisola, Ogun state leader, Comrade Kunle Adebiyi, Chairman Ewekoro, Asiwaju BT Salam, Yeye Oge, Senatorial Women leader, Bukola Soyoye, Women leader, Sunday Afolabi. Others are Oloruntoba Adetobi, Chief Hon.Joel, Remilekun Kushimo, Lamidi Olabode, Onoola Olayiwola. Comrade Bode was the pioneer state chairman.
