Dr. Boniface Aniebonam the Founder of National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), has appealed to all practising freight forwarders to ensure that they register with INEC for the purpose of the forth coming election in 2023. Lamenting the situation facing the sector, Aniebonam said “The freight forwarders in Nigeria have suffered so much despite their meaningful contributions in nation building”. He stated that it is time for those in the sector to speak for themselves and take responsibility. He urged those who have interest to contest election in their various states, to do so via the New Nigeria People’s Party ( NNPP) saying that the likes of the former Governor of Kano State, Musa Rabiu Kwankwaso is also a member of the party and frieht forwarders involvement in politics will make it much easier for them to regain their council from the inside of government.
He however appealed to the leadership of nagaff, Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Association of Registered Freight Forwarders Nigeria (AREFFN) to work together and ensure the success of 6 6 1 1 1 concept as agreed upon by the consultative forum.
He however commend the former President of NAGAFF, Dr Eugene Nweke, saying “you have done well on these matters which has earned honour and respect for the industry practioners”, he concluded.
