For the Rotarians, this period is DG’s Visit, and the Rotarian governor of District 9114, representing Lagos and Ogun states, Ifenyinwa Ejenze is all out for DG’s Visit, which consist of about 150 clubs to see how they are faring and encourage them.
She spoke to us in one of her visits, as the newly elected Hope President, 2023/2024 for roads, Abayomi Benson also speaks as well on his aspirations.
Excerpts.
Que- Let’s meet you sir?
Ans- My name is Abayomi Benson, I’m the new Hope President of 2023/2024 for roads.
Que- Congratulations!how do you feel been elected?,
Ans- I can’t even explain it, well, I feel elated and very happy, it’s an opportunity, not for the position but for for the opportunity to give back to my community.
Que- What are the project you have in plan to execute?
Ans- We have so many we want to do; we want to touch people’s lives, we want to make sure people around us are elevated but the most important one that comes to mind is that, this year, we want to feed one thousand people before the end of the year.

Que- Let’s meet you properly
Ans- My name is Rotarian Ifenyinwa Rita Ejezie, District state governor, Rotary Int’l , District 9114
Que- What’s coming of this wonderful club?
And- This is one of the drops we have in the District 9114. We have a total of about 150 clubs and as the district governor, it’s one of my responsibilities to go around this club before the end of the rotary year to see how they are faring; encouraging them to do more and see what they have lined up towards the end of the year, in helping humanity. That’s what we’re doing today and we call it the DG visit.
I’m expected to do at least one of these visits to all the clubs that are in the district 9114, that covers the whole of Lagos and Ogun States,and the journey has just started .
Que- Are you impressed so far with what you have seen?
Ans- Yes, I’m impressed, this is my second club I’m visiting, this year, yesterday, I was with Rotary Club, Ikeja and it’s been wonderful all the way, and I’m sure, since Ikeja opened it well, Lagos Centre has done tremendously well , I’m sure the rest of the clubs by the time I go round visiting them, , I will only but have beautiful stories to tell about what they have indeed lined up to touch humanity within our societies and even across the globe.
