It was a classic of event mixed with tradition of paparazzi as Abuja based socielity ,Hadja Qoyumot Abisoye Fashola-Ndawuya burried her mother, Alhaja Azeezat Ibilola Fashola in a classic fashion that was full of classical event
The burial activities that zenith the activities was held at Lemtee Event Centre ( Beside Salvation Army School) Dopemu , Agege. Lagos state started and was full of important personalities many who are Hadja Qoyumot Abisoye Fashola-Ndawuya colleagues from secondary school
The beautiful Hadja Qoyumot who is based in Abuja and known for her dexterity in given out was seen moving from one important table to another acknowledging her visitors some who came within and outside Lagos even outside the country to paid their last respect to Alhaja Azeezat Ibilola Fashola
The 40th day fidau prayer and final burial ceremony which was held on Saturday, September 7th , 2024 was not without it’s glitz and glamour with many of the guests abandoned protocol to dig it out in their well dressed atired
Though the burial has come and gone but the sneeze of it still made people to catch cold, even as people around the centre where the event was held were still basking in euphoria of the well attended burial
The great -grand children too were seen happily dancing around the event hall
” This event is one of the best we ever witnessed in this center. It was like a carnival of sorts as lots of important personalities invaded the event center” intones one of the residents around the area where the event was held
And talking of important personalities. They came in drove.
The old students of Hadja Qoyumot Abisoye Fashola-Ndawuya from secondary school mates from State High School were not left behind. From 1986, 1987,1988 and 1989, they were all on ground to support their very own Hadja Qoyumot
Al- Fathi-ul Qareeb Islamic Society were also on ground for the party that was anchored by : Abel Ojetunde the popular newscaster who anchors ” Koko Inu Iwe Iroyin” on Radio Lagos.
For Mrs. Abimbola Fashola -Bamikunle Mama ‘s last child, the turn out was least expected but we’ll appreciated
” I must confess I am stunned by the turn out despite the economic situation of the country. Although I am not also surprised because Mama ( that’s my mother ) was loved by everyone and she never descrimate been you Muslim or Christian or whatever you are , so most of the people here have one way or the other benefited from her , hence they believe it’s just good they give her this last respect”
And to collaborate her sunbmition, Barrister Olubunmi Bamikunle, Otunba Olatundun (who flew from Abuja to Lagos), Queen Bees Club members, Alhaji Muhammad Sadauki (who also flew to Lagos from Abuja) were all fully present at the event to attend to the glitz and glamour of the party
” I don’t just know where to start my appreciation from or what to say. First of all I give Almighty the praise for holding the date for us . And after that , I have to acknowledge my love my husband who have been a pillar that I rests on I can’t elougised him enough . My hubby Alhaji Muhammad Ndawuya , I am using this medium to tell you that your love is not comparable to any love. I am am happy and lucky to have you as my husband. Also I am overwhelmed with the turn out of people who despite all the odds of the economic situation of the country still find time to come to give my mother last respect. They spent their time and money. This is marvelous. I feel elated seen my secondary school mates from 1986, sets, 87 set, 88 set and to 89 set, I can’t thank them enough.
I also appreciate the Oliyide family, Toriola family, Craig family, Ogunbode family and Agbedeyi family,you are all loved . Saying I should be mentioned names will take me the whole day as the numbers were numerous. Thank you all”
