The Distinguished Nigerian Awards is merit awards given to outstanding individuals for their exemplary service and contribution in nation building. This is in commemoration of Nigeria’s independence anniversary. Honours are divided into different ranks and categories, showing their hierarchy and significance.
The Distinguished Nigerian Awards was established in the year 2020 by Elitist Media Team and have been conferred yearly to deserving individuals. This year making it 5th Edition.
The Distinguished Nigerian Awards Committee is the body in charge of nominations and award presentation as well as selects nominees according to different criteria, including efforts in nation-building, community development, service to humanity, professional excellence and the upholding of national integrity.
The Distinguished Nigerian Awards ceremony, this year edition will hold on Tuesday, 1st October, 2024, at the Presken Hall , Hotel & Suites Ikeja, Lagos.
The event will witness momentous occasion as notable Nigerians are among the Awardees.
“The aim of the award is to further encourage individuals and institutions that have demonstrated patriotism, diligence, innovation and reform in order to change our national narratives as people and nation in global space.”
